If you haven’t heard the new self-produced Spoon album Transference, do yourself a favor and check it out now. It’s raw, experimental, and as loose as Spoon can be. I threw this little wallpaper together a while back and thought I post it after listening to Transference three times in a row.
The Hold Steady rocked my socks off at the Beachland Ballroom last week. The energy of the band is incredible. They manage to be a fresh but classic sound without any pretense – a remarkable feat in music today. And Craig Finn’s austistically enthusiastic performance is infectious. This is a little wallpaper inspired by the lights and dance floor of the Beachland. There’s also a track off the band’s new album coming out in May, for your enjoyment.
