Willie Williams
Creech Holler
Here’s a track of the sophmore self-release from Creech Holler. I might be biased, but this is my favorite band that you’re probably not listening to. Creech Holler brews and new genre out of Southern Gothic, blues, Appalachian folk music and good old fashioned rock and roll. But rather than sounding muddled, over-wrought, or jam-bandy, Creech Holler brings the goods so authentically you feel like people have been listen to this music for decades. This track accentuates their heavy North-Mississippi blues guitar with some staggering, droning fiddle work and dirty-like-it-should-be slide guitar. And don’t miss out on the iconic, haunting lyrics telling of poor Willie Williams.
If you like this track, you’ll definitey dig the album.
