I’ve been a little lukewarm on The Decemberists, but this song is too great to pass by. The band can be a little bit of a one-trick pony, but here I think they’ve nailed that trick. This ode to the ex-CIA agent made famous by the Bush Administration has all the best elements of Colin Meloy’s Wes Anderson-esque pop rock musings.
